First Creek 2010 Winemaker's Reserve Pinot Noir is from Tamar Valley Tasmania, in limited release. Rated 91 points by James Halliday. Made by Tasmanian pinot specialist, First Creek Winemaker Jim Chatto selected the very best parcels of Pinot fruit from renowned vineyards in the Tamar Valley to make into this premium varietal wine style. After a 5-day cold soak the grapes were fermented in small open vats followed by 10 months maturation in selected French oak before blending and bottling. Aromas of dark Plums and Black Cherry, with fragrant spice and subtle oak. Medium bodied with sweet berry fruits and spice supported by fine ripe tannins. 5 star winery rating by James Halliday. Case of 6 x 750ml bottles.
