Alsace

Located in one of the northernmost areas of France, Alsace is a unique region influenced by French and German horticulture and wine production. It is also the only region in France that sells its wine according to the name of the grape variety, and it has done so for quite some time.

Alsace is one of the driest regions in the country with hot summers producing fine aromatic and heady white wines, two excellent examples of which are Gewurztraminer and Riesling.
