For optimum sun exposure, a vertical canopy system is used with the vines planted in a North-South aspect. All vines are hand pruned only and to optimise fruit quality, minimal organic fertilizer is used and irrigation is also kept to a minimum. For the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, only French oak barrels are used, whilst the Cabernet Merlot is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Strict adherence to manufacturing codes are followed as well as to the Australian Certified Organic guidelines. Karina Vineyard Wines are building a solid reputation as one of the top wineries within the Mornington Peninsula with various wines to satisfy even the most selective wine critic.
